Proven Commercial Technology
RePlanter utilizes proven commercial gasification technology for the production of syngas. The technology produces a mid-range BTU syngas that is compatible with most gas turbines and some reciprocating engines. The gasification technology produces an inherently clean syngas that is relatively easy to clean-up. The integrated gas clean-up system has been proven in extended operations that it can easily meet the most stringent gas clean-up requirements.
The technology has been proven at scale. A RePlanter project using the the same size reactor as the one proven in commercial operation will be able to produce approximately 265 mmbtu/hr of syngas, enough fuel to produce nearly 40 MW of combined cycle generation. The technology is able to produce syngas from a wide variety of feedstocks including:
- various types of wood
- grasses and straws
- purpose grown energy crops
- agricultural waste
- refuse derived fuel
- sludges and liquors
- low rank coals
A key advantage of the technology is that it has been proven in extended operations on an extremely difficult feedstock. The gasification technology's operation and maintenance costs have been documented and are fully known. In addition, RePlanter is working with several multi-billion dollar Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors that will provide the "wrap" needed to finance each project.
